haha

I didn't think the graphics were all that great but it was still kind of funny. Glad the loop worked out for you.

graphics come after humor

coool

I liked how each character synced up to the music. I'm glad to see the guy who made Like a Duck get on the front page, haha. I remember when you submitted that one in B&W and I was like YO COLOR THAT SHIT. Well I guess you did but it didn't turn out as cool as I imagined :p I would have made it full of zany photoshopped patterns and shit. Anyway I like your animation style though, it's nice and fluent. Keep up the good work.

TheBoogley responds:

damn you dustyh, I colour in the movie, and it's still not good enough for you!!
"ooh my name's dustyh and I would use photoshop patterns, nyah blah blah"
I KILL YOU!!! but seriously, good times... I'm glad I've finally impressed you :D

damn

This might be the most violent cartoon I have ever seen on Newgrounds. Or close to it. Good job... fucking crazy though. Not much substance to it other than solid gory fighting. I liked the gerbils on opium however. Anyway it's good but not as good as previous episodes, which have (somewhat) more of a storyline. Oh, and just out of curiosity... do you use/have you ever used cocaine? Wouldn't surprise me, haha. Although this cartoon is an extreme exaggeration on the effects of cocaine. Good way to keep kids off of it though, maybe. Hey, you should submit this to the anti-drug failures who make those shitty commercials. Put this shit on TV!

ApocalypseCartoons responds:

i'm often full of substance. i felt i deserved one shot of pure gory violence.

twisted!

That was great. Insane, trippy, and visually pleasing as far as animation and graphics go. Interesting music and sound effects as well. Did you make them yourself? I admire your work... keep it up!

Catoblepas responds:

I edited the music from an existing song and got the effects from sounddogs. Except for the sound in the YALP-section.

That was great!

Very trippy. Excellent animation, and the graphics suited it well. I especially liked this because I can somewhat relate - that is, I imagine shit like this all the time, even when I'm not on drugs. Props for capturing it in a flash animation. I think you should have had some explanation as to why the guy started tripping out, though. Add a scene of him taking some acid at the beginning.

HeRetiK responds:

who said that the snap was because of drugs ;)

cool

I love trippy flash. Only complaint was that it was too short to deserve a bigger score than a 7. Which means you pulled it off well. Did "The Flashback" inspire this by any chance? Now THAT is trippy. If you don't know what I'm talking about, PM me and I will give you the link - you need to see it.

BlueHippo responds:

Oh that movie inspired me hardcore for this. That's where I discovered Shpongle, and I also kinda used some of his techniques. That flash was like... such a big part of me several years ago... thanks for the review :)

lol

for a two day project it was pretty good. I liked it, although I have had my fair share of psychedelic journeys and none of them were quite like that. It's obvious you've never tried any ;) People rarely jump off buildings. I know this for a fact because people around here do it every weekend. You just have to use them responsibly - for example, if you're going to be using LSD, you will want a "sitter" ; somebody to keep an eye on you to make sure you don't do anything to hurt yourself. It's just for precaution. But usually it isn't even necessary. Depending on the acid, you may sometimes have enough control over yourself to drive a car - although I think that would be pretty damn stupid to do... but whatever.

Starogre responds:

lol thank you dusty. it obviously wasn't supposed to be factual. i was just animating to a tenacious D song haha

not bad

It was kind of boring. But the fbf work was done well. And I like the song. Just so you know, it's spelled Croce, not Croche (in the audio credits on the side of the page). Not a big deal. Keep it up! You're getting close to the point where fbf dots and swirlies meet real fbf animation. If you can get good at that, then you're a true animator and you've got a bright future ahead of you, if you plan on making animation a career rather than just a hobby.

Gate-keeper-girl responds:

Thanks for the spell check! O_O (Goes to fix it)

Yeah, it's not one of my more exciting flashes, but the fbf "3d" took a long time to get down, so I wanted to make it relaxing.

(I'll be showcasing more FBF in my upcoming "My Newgrounds" )

uh..

it was ok? ... wasn't bad or anything.. but, nothing great. You recognized, from the thousands of people who submitted work in 2007, like, 15 people; most of whom have been here for a long time. And you just redrew a few of the popular characters doing.. nothing special. Yeah, good job summing up 2007. According to this, it was lame. And it was anything but.

indigoApe responds:

Thank you, i really agree that this is overrated. It truly is nothing special, but not many people seem to see this. thanks for the review.

I'm mellow.
